Biography
LIA is a Maryland born, Montreal-based singer-songwriter and producer. Her sultry vocals and poetic state of mind have earned her support from outlets such as COLORS x Studios, Exclaim!, Nakid Magazine, Dummy Magazine & Triple J Unearthed along with syncs for Samsung SK, MTV, and Netflix’s Sex/Life. Most recently, she’s lent her vocals and lyrics to producers Apashe and IMANU in addition to scoring for film and fronting her band Afternoon Bike Ride. LIA’s lyrics seesaw between her life as an individual and our collective existence as a species, often inspired by climate change, capitalism, dystopia, life purpose, and love. Her newest project due for release, entitled ‘Stardust’, features three tracks of midnight alt-pop carried in forward thinking production with frequent collaborator Thomas White.
