Biography
Founded in 2003 in Izmir, Turkey, Let It Flow plays a unique blend of dark and evocative metal with a touch of Mediterranean melancholy. A rare gem in its genre for Turkey, Let It Flow enjoyed a small but loyal recognition, opening for bands such as My Dying Bride and Anathema. Suffered several member changes and hiatus, their discography has been short but sweet, and hopefully not yet final. The debut The Momentary Touches to the Depths (2006) is a heavyhearted journey through loss and hopelessness, dedicated to the late co-founder Süleyman Pamuk, and characterized by doom-laden riffs, acoustic textures, and a ghostly atmosphere. In Meanings (2008), the band experiments with more progressive song structures. The album features prominent guitars, agressive drumming, and a diverse set of songs. The opener Grey Man is a commentary on the destructive aspects of the modern society, while the rest of the lyrics revolve around existential issues, loss, longing, love and friendship. Suffering some member changes and separated between continents, a stuggling Let It Flow releases Migraine (single) after a hiatus, followed by Fragments (EP). Migraine is an unexpected electronic piece, whereas Fragments is an ode to the gothic roots of the band, featuring the band's first song in Turkish.
