Biography

Brothers, Avan and Ketan Jogia (Alive) have been writing music together since they were kids. After many years of working on their sound they formed their band Saint Ivory. They went on to release two songs as part of an EP entitled Do You Love Me, Loretta? They wrote these, among others on a trip to Toronto a couple years ago, in 2018. Fast forward to 2020 and they are ready to release their new album entitled "Mixed Feelings" set to come out Feb 9th 2020. They will release three singles back to back just before the album release. "Flower Boys" on Feb 6th, "Halfbeing" on Feb 7th and "Miss Universe" on Feb 8th. Their album, “Mixed Feelings”, is based off poems from band member Avan Jogia’s book (of the same name). Their work explores what it means to be mixed-race in today’s world. Saint Ivory wanted to accompany the book with a musical reflection/accompaniment of its strong message. Being “mixed” themselves, they pull from their own experiences and from interviews they conducted with friends and strangers. Their album tells the stories of mixed people's experiences in a world increasingly fixated on racial identity. Stay tuned Feb 6th to 9th to catch the release of their new album "Mixed Feelings"
