Biography
With her powerhouse vocals and dynamic stage presence, the Istanbul-born, London-based multi-genre bilingual force SELIN is fast becoming a key name to watch. With Selin cutting her teeth via dance cuts for major names like Mahmut Orhan and Trafoier, the bilingual, free-spirited creative eventually made her official Warner Music debut in 2021 with the punchy and slick synth stylings of “Gidip Gel”. Selin followed up the release with the mellow pop-rock of “cool” in August 2022, which received key press support from the likes of Rolling Stone, Clash and Ones to Watch - while her joint single “Enemies” with Roxen landed a major slot on Spotify’s Times Square billboard. Proving her appeal on the live circuit, Selin’s UK gig portfolio includes shows at Indigo2 (supporting legendary Turkish diva Sertab Erener), O2 Islington, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, The Courtyard Theatre (opening for Donna Missal) as well as Camden Assembly; in Turkey, Selin has played major venues including the likes of Harbiye Açık Hava and Vadi İstanbul Açık Hava and has recently opened for the 2023 Istanbul UEFA Champions League. Raised on a diet of rock legends and Y2K pop icons, Selin’s gripping sound takes these formative influences and merges them into something new - with a sprinkle of what she calls ‘Turkish spice’. With over 850k monthly listeners, and a recent profile by Vogue and ELLE Turkiye to her name, upcoming projects for Selin include an album in both Turkish and in English.
