    A proud Roxbury native, Maye Star is making waves all throughout the Boston area and beyond with his “God of Groove” mindset and commitment to his home city, or, as he calls it, Boss City. His positive energy and incredible vocal talents come together to find their potential in frequent collaborators Sevnth and Tony Royal’s production, providing for some of the best artist-producer chemistry in the city right now, and with so many self directed high-quality music videos with visual partner, HBZ out to match his unique talents, it only makes sense that Star has racked up tens of thousands of plays on his songs. In 2020, he released his debut album ‘SUPA MOON’ which featured songs like “Big Star” and “Therapy” that shows the unmatched flow and advanced lyrical ability. The standout song was “Jill Scott Freestyle” which really displays Maye’s versatility and capability to make hits. In the same year he released ‘MAYEDAY 2020’ A follow up to his 2012 mixtape ‘MAYEDAY 2012’ where Star was not shy to showcase a plethora of bars and different flows. Especially on tracks like “Emperor’s Groove” with Najee Janey. The standout track was “Swish Freestyle” produced by Tony Royal. A song that Maye Star really brings to life when performing live. In 2021, Star released ‘SUMMER STAR’ a soundtrack made for the wild summer he had during the pandemic. “UPPERY” is the opening track and serves as an anthem for the summer time.
