Biography
Some people love to party and some people are the party. DJ and Producer MorningMaxwell is certainly the latter. Spectacularly unconventional and completely out of the box, MorningMaxwell has developed a reputation for funky bass lines and catchy hooks, live shows that double as epic parties and the occasional set in nothing but hot pink speedos. His latest release ‘Bored’ with R.EM.EDY received incredible support, appearing on 4 Spotify editorial playlists and achieving extensive airplay from Triple J and Unearthed. MorningMaxwell’s magnitism doesn’t just attract hoards of party people to his shows, it also pulls musicians spanning a wide range of genres into his studio and onto his stage including vocalists, rappers and rock, jazz and funk instrumentalists. Max entered 2022 with a refreshed vision to incorporate his love of collaboration into his live shows and performed a bumper 9 show tour of regional Victoria with a band in the first half of the year. Max’s recent show at Melbourne’s iconic venue, The Nightcat, featured his 7-piece band in a boilerroom style light and sound extravaganza for over 400 revellers. As well as scoring slots at Grapevine Gathering, BTV and Keep It Together festivals, Max has toured Bali and Fiji as well as supporting acts such as KLP, Client Liason, Benson, Riton, Kah-Lo, and The Veronicas. Max rounded out the year supporting Touch Sensitive at The Espy, completing an interstate tour and much more. Look out for his debut album in April.
