Biography

Rhyms is an independent, solo singer/songwriter project started by Randy who grew up in West Kalimantan during his studies in Melbourne. During his time studying music industry and sound production, he gained success by his debut track “For Tonight”, currently garnering over 1.6 million streams all over the world, over 3600 playlists. In 2018, he returned back to Indonesia to understand and kickstart his career in the music industry, taking his time and in the meanwhile, released an EP called “Melancholic (Part I)” as his first collective release. Currently, preparing himself for a separate debut album next year (2020), he decided to release an LP consisting of his previously recorded tunes comprised as a blend of indie pop, folk, neo-soul/R&B, and acoustic soul by the end of December 2019. The LP is called “Underneath The Cover”. After securing collaborations with some local and international acts, he’s currently brewing new music for next year. It is to be a 12 track record, released each month consecutively as he builds and pack the tracks as an album. Recently, his debut 2019 single “The Way You :)” was also featured as a choice at Music on Friday, an uprising Indonesian independent music coverage media, supported by many famous and legitimate artists, and also similiarly respected media outlets.
