Biography
Born & raised in North London (by Nigerian parents) brothers Mega & Mayhem are a hybrid of cultures & influences. Growing up in NYC during the late 90’s, the duo took rap music by storm through their unique perspectives, unmistakable sound, progressive sense of style. The now legendary ‘Special Delivery’ Freestyle spun by CIPHA SOUNDS on prime time NYC radio garnered instant attention by big players in the industry. One of them being Busta Rhymes who was very impressed that 2 kids with British accents rapping could sound that ‘ILL’. Following that S.A.S amassed a big buzz in not only the UK but the Tri state area and was offered a contract from a young Kanye West. S.A.S later met Cam’Ron & Jim Jones in London & impressed them with not only their rap skills, but NYC street background & taste for designer flare. By the time The Dips we’re back on their private jet, Mega & May were honorary Dip Set. Shortly after came Dame Dash. “I’m looking for a British rapper!” he proclaimed on Tim Westwood’s Radio 1 show. The next time he came to Radio 1 S.A.S & €uroGANG went ballistic for his cameraman at the time (Choke No Joke). A couple months later Jim Jones called May with Dame on 3 way & the rest was History with S.A.S as a key part of Dip Set - RocAFella movement. Throughout this time, Mega and Mayhem have fed the saluting streets worldwide with an onslaught of mixtapes, feature work (Nicki Minaj, French Montana, Cam’Ron, NORE etc) and the classic album Streets All Salute.
