Biography

Louise Goffin, born in Brooklyn, New York , is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. Bound by the DNA of great songwriting, producer of a Grammy-nominated Carole King album , Louise snagged record contracts over the years with Elektra-Asylum, Warner Bros. and Dreamworks. Much respected by fellow artists and peers in the industry, she has toured as a guitarist and background vocalist in Tears for Fears, appeared in videos and Top of The Pops with Roxy Music frontman Bryan Ferry, and famously sings alongside her iconic mother on the theme song for the wildly popular Gilmore Girls. She appears as featured artist on the 50th Anniversary Tribute to Todd Rundgren’s Something/Anything? album, kicked off with her Motown-infused spin on Rundgren’s 1972 AM radio hit "I Saw The Light". Goffin's latest album, Two Different Movies, pressed and released just before news of the pandemic hit, has a sketch of Louise on the cover made by Joni Mitchell. (The album is on vinyl and worth owning!). Louise also produces and hosts a podcast, Song Chronicles, featuring exclusive in-depth conversations about career-defining moments with songwriters, musicians and recording artists. Based in Los Angeles, and collaborating with musicians from Muscle Shoals, Nashville, Los Angeles and the UK, Goffin's songwriting and producing skills shine though more with each release. Louise is currently recording an album scheduled for release in Spring of 2023.
