Last night I forgot what we been doing That I'm not yours, and you're not mine to keep Good thing I got clearer thoughts this morning Must have pulled out cupid's arrow in my sleep It's kind of a shame, but ours is just a fleeting love What I spent last night dreaming of can't be Tonight I'll skip the dreams and go to sleep I'm not One much given to philosophy I've learned to take what I've been given with a smile But you You've almost got me writing poetry Personifying rocks in space just ain't my style So tonight we'll let the stars, the sky, and moon above All conspire to make fools fall in love while we Spend our separate nights alone, fast asleep But in dreaming time stands still I wonder, if we had no lives to chase Could this be love? As morning sun lights up the sky I wake in tears, but don't know why Could be there was something good I lost while fast asleep.
