Biography

Huub started his career in 1982 with his first single “ Wij hebben thuis een wasautomaat” (We have a washing machine at home). Huub signs at Red Bullet, the record company of the well-known Dutch ex-radio DJ Willem van Kooten (Joost den Draaier). In the same year, Huub wins the final of the Frank Sinatra Imitation Competition! This is followed by a stormy career with many hit singles in the Netherlands. His first CD album was released in 1993: "De Allerergste Van Huub Hangop" (The very worst of Huub Hangop). This is followed by his first hit listing with "Wat ben je lelijk van dichtbij” (You are so ugly up close). Huub is becoming more popular year by year with many gigs at home and abroad, on national television and he even becomes a television presenter (on Veronica's Call-TV in 1995 and 1996). In 1999 the single: "Ik wil ook Zo'n Broek met van die Zakken aan de Zijkant" (I also want Such Pants with those Pockets on the Side) became a whopper of a hit. In 2006 Huub became a lawyer, but continued to release records. Huub is also developing as a host and presenter at parties and events and he presents Huubs Music Bingo at company parties. When Huub hangs his gown on the willows in 2011, he starts a collaboration with Berk Music, the largest music label in the party genre in the Netherlands. With this he once again makes the craziest party bangers, which you hear at every wedding and village party, at every festival and of course with carnival!
