Biography

At 3 years old Nicki lived on a farm outside of Rome in Italy before running barefoot as a 6 year old at the foothills of the Himalayas in Dharamshala, India, where she spent 4 years learning Devanagari, Meditation, Kuchipudi dance and Indian Classical music. This would lay the foundation of Nicki's versatile sound as a singer songwriter and composer. With a Father who loved Randy Newman and Bob Dylan and whose Mum loved Mozart and Oscar Peterson, Nicki's musical influences would become vast and eclectic. Spanning from troubadour songwriters like Jeff Buckley, Joni Mitchell and Nick Drake, through to the cinematic landscapes of Thomas Newman and the undeniable thread of Indian Classical Music, particularly heard through Nicki's unique vocal approach. Her self produced debut album Ellipsis is due on the 18th August this year and promises to be her most raw and honest material yet.
