Biography

As an immigrant growing up in a harsh neighborhood of Seattle, 28AV(Formerly known as Avatar Darko) grew up surrounded by gangs, drugs, and violence. Music became a source of strength for him as he persevered through numerous hardships in his early years. Through his music, he hopes to share the message that regardless of the situation, hope, faith, and determination can bring about good even in the worst of times. As a product of the diverse Seattle rap scene, 28AV’s hard-hitting bars shine through regardless of genre: from gangsta rap to introspective mood music, and more recently dipping into music for the clubs and ladies. 28AV is a versatile artist able to deliver his message through his vulnerability and authenticity. He is currently signed to Jay Park's multinational HIGHR MUSIC RECORDS label based in Seoul, Korea.
