Biography

At the age of fifteen, Meena Choi left her home country, South Korea, to study abroad in the US. Admitted to the Music School of Indiana University(Bloomington), she majored music performance for a year. However, since she quit pursuing music professionally, she never imagined in her wildest dream, that one day she would be writing songs and releasing them for the world to hear. Furthermore,  she had no idea they would be songs with the purpose to worship the living God she didn't even know at that time. After a long desperate search for the truth, however, she accepted Christ as her Savior, who she believes called her to re-pursue music and use her talent for the Kingdom of God. While serving as a worship leader in Belgium and Germany, Choi has written many worship songs, 8 of which she released through her songwriting debut, “New Song Worship- Here I am” – her collaboration effort with well-known Korean Christian artists like Shu-A Jo and Gui-Hee Hwang(Markers Worship).  The original English version of the title track, "Here I am"  featuring Korean-American artist Brian Kim , is included in the album(Track 9) and later released as a single. She currently resides in Germany with her family, with the goal of releasing more worship songs written in English and reaching broader audience around the world to spread the messages of love, faith and hope.  More information available on https://meenachoi.com and https://www.youtube.com/worshipwithmeena
