Biography
A cultural revolution is taking a hold of Salvador, Brazil with the aim to break down barriers and develop a sound that falls within the understanding of Bahia’s Pop Music, experimental in itself. Attooxxa, integrates global references of electronic music from dubstep, sound system culture and bass music with genuine Brazilian’s ghetto rhythms taking Bahia’s Pop Music to its next level of evolution. Here various peripheral fronts meet in reference to ancestry and a detachment to any definition of genres. Amplifying the voices of the ghetto, Rafa Dias (musical producer and the head of the project), Oz (vocals), Raoni Kanalha (vocals) and Chibatinha (guitar) put freedom and respect as the heart of Attooxxa’s lyrics immersed in a contemporary and afro futuristic aesthetic.
