Growing up a music enthusiast from a tender age influenced by the likes of Kanye West, Eminem, 50 Cent and many more Ab would listen to his favourite rappers and recite their lyrics word for word way before he even imagined of being an artist. This deep love for music grew until he felt like he needed to start making his own music and expressing himself through it. Ab's musical odessey began properly when he moved to Seychelles with his family. He felt homesick within the first few months and music was always there to keep him distracted. This is when he started learning how to rap and make beats. By this time Ab found it necessary to learn more about the Hip Hop genre so he took it upon himself to study all of the greatest rappers from every generation. Around this time he had started posting freestyle videos on Facebook for fun and this is where everything took off. In the year 2017 Ab formed TVA with Lincoln Acrux known formerly as Lincoln Fuego which Jack Monster would be a part of later that year. Ab dropped his first project (The Sicktape) which put him on the radar of local Hip Hop heads around the country but his most critically acclaimed body of work being Divine which was the most streamed local Hip Hop project in the country in 2020. With a display of a high level of lyrical skill for his age AbTheActivist's music can be described as soulful, thought provoking, relatable, meaningful and timeless.
