🤸‍♀️ Kim Ji-Ae / Lee Seung-Hyun 🤸‍♀️ 🌕 Noh Keo-Hyun / Lee Joseph 🌕 Dabda is a 4-piece band from South Korea consisting of vocal/guitarist Kim Ji-Ae, guitarist Lee Joseph, drummer Lee Seung-Hyun, and bassist Noh Keo-Hyun. They are best known for expressing dream-like strolls within their music with their poetic lyrics and unique play-style capable of expanding and variegating their own sounds, best shown in their live performances. Even though they incorporate vocals within their songs, their main sound is driven by sparkly yet often cinematic guitar heavy interplays and complex drumming dynamics usually reminiscent of post-rock and math-rock sounds. They marked their official start with the 2016 EP [Island of Each] and began performing live the same year. Throughout the following years, they have received local recognition and awards. Being live performers, Dabda performed non-stop all around the country and also performed with bands such as Elephant Gym, te’, and Jambinai. In 2019, they planned their global debut by touring overseas with shows in Europe and appearing at Mongolia’s Playtime Festival later that year. They made their first full-length album with the release of [But, All The Shining Things Are] in 2020. In 2021, they started a collaboration project with toe’s Takashi Kashikura which led to the release of their single [Jungle Gym].
