ミームトーキョー 2019年夏に開催された「でんぱ組虹コンJr.メンバー募集オーディション」経て結成された令和アイドル”ミームトーキョー”。MEW、RITO、SAE、SOLIに、新メンバーMITSUKI、NENEが加入。SOLIは韓国在住のためリモートでレコーディング、MV等に参加。これまでインディーズで『メランコリック サーカス』『レトロフューチャー』『モラトリアムアクアリウム』『アンチサジェスト』４枚のCDをリリース。2021年8月25日にトイズファクトリー内レーベルMEME TOKYOからメジャーデビューシングル『THE STRUGGLE IS REAL』をリリースすることが決定。 先行で7月30日に配信リリースも行う。メジャーデビューにあわせ、”meme tokyo.”表記から”ミームトーキョー”に変更。新体制での初パフォーマンスは7月31日に渋谷WWWXで開催されるONE-MAN LIVE「MEMETIC STURGGLE」。日本国内でのライブ活動は、MEW、RITO、SAE、MITSUKI、NENEの５人で行っていく。 “meme tokyo” was formed in the summer of 2019 after an audition for “Dempagumi Nijicon Jr. Members”. MEW、RITO、SAE and SOLI were joined by new members MITSUKI and NENE. SOLI, who lives in Korea, collaborates remotely for the recordings, music videos etc. The group has released 4 independent CDs “Melancholic Circus”, “Retro Future”, “Moratorium Aquarium” and “Anti Suggest”. Their major debut single “THE STRUGGLE IS REAL” is due to be released in August 25, 2021 on MEME TOKYO label of Toys Factory. The single will also be distributed in advance at digital music stores on July 30. Along with their major debut, the name of the group will be changed to Japanese figures instead of the current “meme tokyo”. The first performance with the new lineup will be ONE-MAN LIVE “MEMETIC STRUGGLE” at Shibuya WWWX on July 31. Live performances and activities held in Japan will be carried out by 5 of the members MEW, RITO, SAE, MITSUKI and NENE.
