Biography
The Sam Willows are a Singaporean pop band made up of siblings Ben & Narelle Kheng, with long-time friends Sandra Riley Tang and Jon Chua rounding out the quartet. The group has since captured the hearts of fans globally since their formation in 2012, racking up a multitude of accolades, including performing at SXSW, WAM and SummerSonic; and more recently, supporting UK girl group Little Mix on "The Get Weird Tour 2016" in Singapore and Manila, Philippines. The band also sold out concerts in Malaysia (The Sam Willows LIVE in Kuala Lumpur 2016) and Singapore (Take Heart Tour LIVE in Singapore 2016). They went on to become the first Southeast-Asian artist to be featured on Spotify's Spotlight Campaign across Asia and made the "Top 25 Under 25" list by Spotify. Signed to Sony Music Entertainment, their debut album Take Heart was certified GOLD in Singapore in 2016. The chart topping title-track 'Take Heart' propelled the quartet into noteworthy status, garnering over 4M streams and breaking into Spotify charts regionally. The emotional follow-up track 'For Love', transcended boundaries notching #48 spot on the Global Spotify Viral Chart. Working with producer Fredrik Häggstam (The Chainsmokers) for their follow-up album, the Willows marked a new era with earworm "Keep Me Jealous". The first single off their upcoming album addresses unhealthy relationship dynamics from a lyrical perspective and also sees the band cross into unexplored sonic territory.
