Biography

Singer, songwriter, and recording artist Kay Cook started writing when she was young. Like so many performers of single-digit age using the mirror as her audience, she channeled the mighty vibes of, well, Hannah Montana. And like its star, has gone on to become a powerful recording artist, finding her voice in honest lyrics with soulful hooks underpinned by a rich pop palette. 
 “It’s amazing what inspiration you can get from watching…The Office,” Kay says about her favorite show, which earns a shout out in "Favorite Drug." Adding with a smile, “binge watching can really help creativity!” After a few seasons of the TV sensation, Kay was moved to write and record the fan favorite “1952,” and "Upgrade," which has already surpassed 1 million Spotify streams. 
 “It’s always exciting to see the response to a song, how it can touch people.” Kay has been posting teasers to her new single, and, after going through a trying personal time, hopes it can connect with fans the way some of her favorite anthems have resonated with her. “I’ve probably sung Mr. Brightside in my head every day for a decade. It would be cool to write a song that does that.” A fitting choice, as the future is looking bright indeed for Kay. 
 After the love and support she received from her song "Thinkin Bout It", she is excited to share her newest song “Words I Wish I Said”.
