Biography
On The Outside (OTO) is a Nashville-based pop/country vocal group composed of vocalists Andrew Bloom, Dawson Huckabee, Sam Jenkins and Jon Klaasen. Perhaps best described as “if Dan and Shay had a lovechild with One Direction”, the group’s unique sound and charisma has helped cement its presence in the hearts of legions of fans around the world. On TikTok, OTO boasts over 5.6 million followers and over 95 million likes. Their influence on the social media platform also includes pioneering several popular challenges that are now done regularly by artists across the world. Social media is not the only place fans are discovering On The Outside. The band has shared the stage with a diverse group of well-known artists including The Chainsmokers, Nelly, Ernest, Blanco Brown and Matt Stell to name just a few. In studios and writing rooms, On The Outside has been co-writing and recording songs with some of Nashville’s biggest hitmakers including Laura Veltz, Jimmy Robbins, Hillary Lindsey, Paul DiGiovanni and Jordan Reynolds. OTO’s latest single is an anthemic sing-along co-written by OTO members Dawson Huckabee and Jon Klaasen with Audra Mae, Joe Ginsberg, and Jimmy Robbins. “Love can let you down and be painful. As lovers of country music, we wanted to write an ode to the one thing that has always been a safe, reliable landing pad” says Huckabee. It was recorded at the iconic Blackbird Studio D in Nashville and produced by ACM and CMA winner Jimmy Robbins and Mike Shimshack.
