Biography

Hertfordshire born singer and song writer Coco first appeared on the underground scene as part of Drum and Bass Act Sub Love. Snapped up by MCA/Universal Music Publishing, Coco began work on projects with Sturken and Rogers, Roger 'Wildchild' McKenzie, Photek, Victor Imbres (Alcatraz) and top song writer/producer Rob Davis. The iconic "I Need a Miracle" was released on Victor's Greenlight Recordings label and quickly gained momentum owing to live performances by Coco and club support of Radio 1's Pete Tong. The clubland classic was re-recorded and released in 1997 with a new producer entering the UK top 40 for the first time. By 2000 the vocal was released as an illegal mash-up "Toca's miracle" which topped charts entirely devoid of any credit to her. The vocals circulated on a stolen studio tape went on to spawn nearly 100 remixes without permission. Coco's powerful gospel vocals are highly sought after and can be heard on tracks like UK #20 "it ain't enough", East 17's "Do u Still" (Wildchild remix) "falling for you" and "In your eyes". Her self penned "Get over you and everything" E.P drew attention from Russian Producer legend Dj Smash. Going full circle Coco Star teamed up with Fedde Le Grand and Dannic for 2 versions of an entirely new rework of "I Need a Miracle". Both the Club version and extended mix of "Coco's Miracle" have lit up festivals and radio shows globally.
