Biography
MADE IN SCOTLAND A distinctive new artist (and fearless young woman), Bow Anderson was born and bred on the east side of Edinburgh. As a teenager Bow took part in competitive trampolining, training with people who went on to be part of Team GB before a freak accident put a halt to her competing at the National Championships (“I almost lost my leg,” she shrugs today). But as the body she had bet her future on proved fallible, Bow found her voice. During her rehabilitation, Anderson’s father would sing with her each night to help her get to sleep, which led to Bow moving to London after her recovery to hustle making music. Today, Bow's songs appear as inspired by the work ethic and bombast of classic Soul as they are the attitude and production of modern R&B; cut through with frank, warts-and-all lyrics, which turn adversity (whether romantic, physical, or emotional) into a source of strength.
