Biography

JUNG consists of brothers Tom and Henrik Ljungqvist. Rooted in classic melodic song tradition the duo offers modern pop with elements of folk, dance and R&B, a warm and summery sound that recalls acts such as Majid Jordan, Bon Iver and The 1975. JUNG have released music continuously since their debut in 2018 and their music, including the hit singles “Wasteland” and “Let Him Go ft Clara Mae”, has generated over 120 million+ streams. In 2019 they released an EP as well as their debut album "Dreamers", the title pinpoints the brothers attitude to life: JUNG wants to inspire others to be courageous, to hold on to high ambitions and childish dreams. The decision to form a band came with careful consideration. If Tom and Henrik were to invest in the project together, it would be wholehearted. Strong passion and determination is something the brothers have in common, and they constantly want to evolve – both as artists and songwriters. Lyric wise the duo take inspiration from their own lives, but they also consider writing about scenarios they haven’t experienced themselves and by that give a voice to other people. Regardless of the theme in their songs; love, melancholy or the apocalyptic, the music from JUNG is infused with hope and light. Now, in 2022, JUNG has just released their second album “Cause In The End You Know That Everybody Dies”, refining their sound and experimenting with a larger canvas and visual concept.
