Biography
With his characteristic, expressive voice and atmospheric guitar style, Oskar Nordbø captures the tender and ofte bittersweet emotions that are not so easily described. His music contains an existential undertone, delivered with strong melodies and well crafted choruses. Inspired by heroes such as Bon Iver, The Tallest Man on Earth and Phoebe Bridgers, he uses his music to explore meaning, sacred longing, and what it is to be a human being. Oskar Nordbø has a large and many-faceted scope, varying from the delicate and personal to the expressive and grand. He is drawn towards the unpolished, vulnerable and beautiful in his production, lyrics and composition. Oskar Nordbø got a lot of attention from credible tastemakers and reviewers on his debut album “The Flood”, which was released in November 2020. The newspaper Aftenbladet described it as an “unusually strong debut”, giving it five out of six stars. “The Dog-headed Saint” was released in February 2023, as a standalone sequel to “The Flood”. And tells the story off the Legend of St. Christopher, aka "The Dog-headed Saint".
