Biography

Taking their name from a monetary fund set up for legendary poet T.S. Eliot, and drawing influence from the likes of The Velvet Underground and The Strokes, Bel Esprit play suave, modern alternative rock. Infectious melodies and effortlessly cool vocals define the music of the Southampton-based five-piece, who have already played support for the likes of Nothing But Thieves, Sundara Karma and Ezra Furman. Having already received airtime from Steve Lamacq and Chris Hawkins on BBC 6 music, they have toured all over the country and have performed at Y Not, Rob Da Bank’s Common People and the Isle of Wight Festival.
