Biography

Cheerleader is a psychedelic-indie-glam pop rock band based out of Philadelphia, PA. Starting out as a bedroom recording project in 2011, we’ve undergone a lot of growth and change over the years. We’re always striving to evolve and exploring new sonic textures, drawing from influences ranging from 70s psychedelia and 80s glam and power-pop to the indie rock hey-day of the 90s and early 2000s. We put out our first record entitled The Sunshine of Your Youth in 2015, but have undergone some personal and personnel changes over the past 4 years. We had a lot of fun touring and supporting that record, but since then some time has been taken to write new tunes and do some self-discovery. Finally, we released a new single called “Bang, Bang” (produced and mixed by the extraordinary Chris Coady) in May, along with an accompanying killer psychedelic journey of a music video by the talented Evan Henderson.
