Biography

Aderbat, named after an early French flying machine, formed in 2004 when friends Matt Taylor, Brad Kunkle, Todd Schied, and Chris Blassuci began writing and recording songs in Doylestown, PA. Their first album demos caught the ear of legendary producer Andrew Weiss (Ween, Henry Rollins Band, Modest Mouse), who mixed and engineered their debut record “Rabbits and Rocks” and most of their discography. With rotating members Chris Covatta and Craig Hendrix (Japanese Breakfast), Aderbat became a staple in Philadelphia's mid-2000's indie rock scene, independently releasing 4 records until their disappearance in 2010.
