Gränsen is the brainchild of musician and producer Peter Ehrling, a one-man project that delves into the world of electronic music with a focus on melancholic, synth-driven sounds. Based in Stockholm, Sweden, Gränsen was established in 2021 and draws inspiration from some of the most influential synthpop, new wave and indie bands from the 80s, 90s and today, including Depeche Mode, New Order, Radiohead, Pavement and Bloc Party as well as Swedish bands like kent, bob hund and Junior Brielle. Gränsen’s unique blend and style of retro and contemporary sounds creates a nostalgically and introspective atmosphere in each Gränsen release. As a self-taught musician, Peter has always had a passion for electronic music and the endless possibilities it offers for creativity and self-expression. He has honed his skills as a producer, creating a sound that is uniquely his own while still paying tribute to his musical influences. With a dedication to creating emotive, thought-provoking music, Gränsen is sure to leave a lasting impression on fans of electronic music. In April 2023 the first album Nu lämnar vi då was released and includes all new versions of earlier releases. During 2023 another album will be released with new music so keep an eye out and be prepared to be swept away by the project's emotionally charged sound.
