Biography
I started Kid Creole and the Coconuts with Adriana Kaegi (who had escaped Zurich, Switzerland to settle down in Manhattan) and Coati Mundi (who was also a veteran of Dr. Buzzard's band). The year was 1979. I had no idea then that I was destined to enjoy success around the world for over 40 years. I had no idea then that I would release 15 albums and 27 singles! I had no idea that in 2020 I would still be singing and swinging and dancing and prancing. Album number 16 is due this year. And it will be released on my own label, called 2c2c. It's called Port D'Arnelle. 2020 might also see my stage musical, fittingly called Cherchez la Femme, on a West End Stage in London. And 2020 might also see my screenplay, called Paradise, My Ass, picked up by NetFlix for a long-running tv series. Yes, as Bloody Mary once said on a tropical island in the sun, "If you don't have a dream, how you gonna have a dream come true?" TRUTH! Happy New Decade Music Lovers!
