Biography
Patricks is an Irish Folk acoustic band, formed in 2012. The band stands out for offering traditional Irish and Celtic songs arranged with a modern take, without faulting the original sound. This versatile but not ordinary band in a short time started to perform in the entire north-east of Italy, mesmerizing the audiences from big festival stages to the small local pubs. After establishing the current band members, Patricks participated in 2014 and 2015 to the international festival “Irlanda in Festa” in Bologna (IT) and Padua (IT), opening a concert for Cisco (former member of Modena City Ramblers). Driven by the success on the live stage, the five musicians transformed the hard work of more than 1 year into their first studio album: “Tales from Irish Waves” was recorded in 2016 at the Bass Department Studio. This project brings Patricks to play as headliner in the 2017 edition of the “Triskell Celtic Festival” in Trieste (IT) and then to headline the main event of St Patrick’s Day 2018 in Verona (IT), where more than 3’000 people danced for 2 hours to the sound of their music. Many international artists have already shared the stage with Patricks: such as the Irish band Goitse, awarded as “Trad Group of the Year 2015”, and The Sidh. In February 2020, thanks to the collaboration with producer Titi Massimiliano, “Rocky Road To Ireland”, the second album, was released for label Maxy Sound.
