Johnny is a 2 Time Grammy Nominee: 1962 - Best Country and Western Recording - “It Keeps Right On A Hurtin” , and 1965 - Best Contemporary Vocal Performance Male - “Heartaches By The Number.” Johnny is one of the forerunners in making Country Music popular in the Pop field and was one of the first cross over artists.
