SAVNT is a Guyanese American singer-songwriter who was born in Brooklyn and raised in New Jersey. With the release of his first track, "Puppeteer," under the stage name Stephan Marcellus, SAVNT made his musical debut with the help of Afropunk. He starred in Season 13 of The Voice on NBC in 2017. His experience on The Voice garnered high accolades from the cast, crew, and his coaches Jennifer Hudson, Miley Cyrus, and Kelly Rowland. The day after his last episode aired, he released his next single, "Renegade," which debuted in NBC's Top 20 releases from all finalists throughout all seasons and caught the attention of producer Krucial Keys. This song was later synced in the popular fitness brand OrangeTheory Fitness' mobile app and YouTube channel. His love for performance grew, and he eventually performed all across the country in renowned settings like Music Farm and The Highline Ballroom (NYC), which was hosted by Joe Budden. He’s performed to sold-out crowds across the country from the Apollo Music Café in Harlem, Music Farm in Charleston, and Rockwood Music Hall. Following the pandemic, Stephan changed his name to SAVNT in order to fully embrace his artistic ability and genuine outlook on life. Savnt's sound is strong, anthemic, and a resurgence of rock/soul music as an artist who is soulful in his core and has the heart of a rockstar. His latest EP "Rock&Blues" and single “LA Girl” solidify SAVNT’s place as a cross-genre sensation.
