Biography
Born on the legendary Highway 61 in Minnesota, Cobi’s roots as a singer-songwriter run deep. He was marked for success with his debut single "Don't You Cry For Me" reaching the top of the Spotify Global Chart and #1 on Spectrum Sirius XM radio. In December 2015, Cobi was signed to 300 Entertainment by industry veteran, Lyor Cohen. In April 2016, he joined the international tour of renowned progressive trance group, Above & Beyond, performing as a vocalist at iconic venues such as Royal Albert Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, and the Sydney Opera House. Cobi’s second studio album Love In The Wildwood is a collection of songs inspired by folklore and the natural world. Cobi’s haunting vocals and brilliant guitar work take the listener on a journey of desire, longing, pleasure and pain. Each song on the album tells a different story, from the struggle of putting trust in someone to the temptation of the forbidden. The track listing includes songs like All On You, which showcases Cobi’s vulnerability, and Desperate Man, a powerful and emotive Alternative/Blues/Rock song. Other tracks like Bonafide Living and That's The Thing have a retro flare, while Can't Have It All and Drifting Aimlessly touch on deeper themes of addiction and heartbreak. Primarily an R&B album, Love In The Wildwood encompasses a variety of genres, including Rock, Blues, Soul, Jazz, Funk and Americana.
