Biography
Having formed originally in October 2014, Calfari completed their current line up in June 2015. Calfari are a six-piece band from Anglesey, North Wales. Bryn Hughes Williams (lead vocals), Tomos Gashe (guitar), Siôn Jones (guitar/Vocals), Gavin Malone (bass), Dave Woodhouse (drums) and Elin Angharad (Vocals). Sharing a passion for working in the studio and performing live, with influences such as ‘Catfish and the bottlemen”, “Twin Atlantic”, “1975” & “You me at six”, Calfari have an appealing Welsh Pop-Rock sound. This has earned the band a rapidly growing fan base in Wales and beyond, with Calfari having performed all over the country. The band’s highlight to date include performing on the main stage of Looe Festival down in Cornwall in their native tongue, supporting highly acclaimed artists such as the Proclaimers, Johnny Marr and Jools Holland. Their first Welsh Album will be released in July 2017, and continues in a similar vain to their two Eps “Nôl ac ymlaen” and “Tân”, with tight mainstream production, polished vocals, and catchy guitar hooks. The band has received high acclaim from BBC Radio Cymru and various other Radio stations.
