Biography
Featuring the vocal talents of Beate S. Lech, Norwegian group Beady Belle make jazz, acid jazz, and downbeat-influenced electronic pop. Formed in Oslo in 1999 by former university music students Lech and bassist/programmer Marius Reksjø, the band also includes drummer Erik Holm. What originally began as Lech's solo debut for Jazzland Records eventually morphed into Beady Belle's 2001 debut album, Home, after Lech and Reksjø began collaborating on Lech's songs. Two years later the band released its sophomore album with Cewbeagappic. In 2005, Beady Belle dropped their third studio effort, Closer. Belvedere followed in 2008. ~ Matt Collar, Rovi
