Biography

Ganga entered the world of downtempo music with the album I Dream About Trees (Music for Dreams 2004). Since then Ganga has released 7 albums, many EPs and 12”, and numerous tracks are featured on more than 200 chill-out compilations, Café del Mar, Buddha-Bar and so. Gangas track @skyscraper, was featured in the Brasillian telenovella, “A Vida da Gente” - seen by 50 mio. people every day for 4 months. Many of Gangas tracks are used in TV-series and soundtracks. F. ex. In "Klovn Forever" and MTV´s show "The Hills”. As a DJ, Ganga is known for his genre-defying DJ sets which has brought him as far as Tokyo Skytree and Shag Nightclub in Japan, “Buddha Bar” and Siddharta Lounge in Dubai, and hotspots in Ibiza like Café Del Mar, Sands, Hotel Es Vive, Atzaro and Villa Mercedes. Gangs sound is best characterized as chilled electronic downtempo listening music with guitars, electronic dubs, rolling bassgrooves, vocals, meticulous production, hypnotic trancevibes, and brilliant musical and vocal performances from all corners of the world. Gangas first releases was heavily influenced by his long travels in asia where he developed a passion for ethnic music, studying instruments such as the sitar and the tingklik – in India and Bali. When Ganga performs as a DJ, it is this melting pot of sounds and inspirations he brings to the show. A bright, luscious, adventurous sound, that continues to create that sought after atmosphere whose DNA is truly global.
