Biography
American born, Gabriel Kelley, is a Grammy-Nominated musician, artist, and song writer based in Nashville, TN. He was born and raised in the southern rural farming and artist centered community of Athens, Georgia until his years traveling and touring the globe and eventually landing again in the rolling hills of beautiful Tennessee. At 20 years old Kelley was signed to Tim McGraw's personal publishing writing for such artists at Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Kings Of Leon, Weezer and more. After 3 years of struggling with the compromise of honest transparent art for commerce, he left the writing world behind to start a music school at an orphanage in a Guatemala. His time in Central America revived his passion and purpose with music as a medicine for himself and others. Upon his return to Nashville he chose to live a much simpler lifestyle residing in his 89 sq. ft 1977 Mobile Traveler RV. For the past 8 years, his sole focus became writing his honest life experiences dictating the human condition without sacrificing integrity. Kelley’s 2016 release of ‘Lighter Shades of Blue’ gained critical acclaim on both sides of the Atlantic ocean, giving momentum to months of touring and supporting such artists as Chris Stapleton, The Allman Brothers, Sturgill Simpson, Steve Earle, Old Crow Medicine Show, Chris Robinson and more. After more than 300 shows in the last 3 years + appearances on international recognized stages such as Red Rocks, Kelley is always ready for what comes next.
