Biography
Blending a mix of huge pop choruses with rock energy, Hopeland aims to create music that you want to sing at the top of your lungs driving with the top down going full speed ahead. The single off of his debut EP "Goodbye" made its mark on major francophone radio stations and reached #18 on the Francophone BDS Top 25 Pop Rock chart in Quebec and #28 on the Top 100 Francophone BDS Airplay chart. Recent french radio singles “Entre Deux Nuits” and “Collision” also charted well reaching #34 and #36 respectively on the top 100 airplay chart in Quebec and both cracked the top 25 on the Pop/Rock airplay chart. The momentum continues to build for Hopeland as he has started releasing songs in English and secured several TV placements in the United States on MTV’s “Teen Mom”, “Jersey Shore” as well as “So You think You Can Dance”. All the radio and tv exposure has generated significant streaming activity for an independent artist; as his songs have racked up over 1.3 million streams on Spotify alone. Plans for the next year include his first airplay singles in english Canada as well as the release of his first full length album (co-written and produced by The Lost Boys). Continuing in the pop/rock sound that defined his debut EP and subsequent singles, the sound has matured since the release of the single “Say Goodbye” and now incorporates more folk and singer-songwriter influences such as City and Colour and Bon Iver.
