Gold Coast indie folk gem Hannah May is stealing the hearts of listeners one by one. With powerful vocals and a country-pop background, May adds unique flare to the indie folk world, articulating the ups and downs of life through her distinctive songwriting style. Her upbeat climate change inspired single 'Written In The Sea' recorded and mixed by Tay Oskee was Hannah’s entry into the world of indie folk and the beginning of a new chapter for the artist. A stage goer since her early years and no stranger to the spotlight, in 2015 May became a finalist on The X Factor NZ as one half of dynamic country duo Mae Valley. The pair went on to release a number of chart topping songs whilst also scoring an opening slot for Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood and Kelsea Ballerini. Now paving her own path as a solo indie folk artist, May has seven solo singles under her belt already including her debut hit ‘Passenger Seat’. May has just released her brand new single 'Meet Me In The Middle' which is already making an impression among listeners including that of Triple J Unearthed, who premiered the track on ‘TOPS’. The engineering hands behind the genre-blending hit are that of Gold Coast producer, Tim Goodburn (The Dreggs, Hollow Coves). The folk pop banger is just what was needed to kick off a new year and will set the tone for the months to come.
