Biography
Pairing melancholy songwriting with stirring electronica, acclaimed British indie artist Nathan Ball shares “Blindside” – the stunning lead single from his forthcoming debut album, out later this year. Starting out as Nathan tinkering on a piano in an old chapel outside of Bath, “Blindside” documents a relationship falling apart, the feeling of losing sight of who each other is and craving that connection and emotion back. Produced by Max Radford and mixed by the esteemed Nicolas Verhnes (The War on Drugs, Daughter, Deerhunter), “Blindside” follows a quiet yet formative 2020 for the British artist, riding high off the back of his very well-received collaboration with dance legends Faithless for their latest album All Blessed, alongside his own beautifully poignant singles “Just Say Something” and “All Comes Back to You” plus writing/producing his debut album. Earning major critical acclaim during his career from the likes of THE INDEPENDENT, GQ, THE LINE OF BEST FIT, CLASH and HUNGER plus continued radio support from the legendary Jo Wiley and Huw Stevens, much of Nathan's material is connected to his surroundings and fuses his passions for folk songwriting and house music. With each release, Nathan invites listeners into his vivid musical world earmarked by classic songwriting and house-inspired flourishes, showing an eagerness to experiment and push sonic boundaries.
