Biography
December 9, 2022 – Today North Carolina indie-pop band The Collection drop their latest anthem, “Rose Colored Glasses.” The song is the third single released from the new EP, How to Survive an Ending, out via Nettwerk on January 27, 2023. The track celebrates the positives of a relationship after it ends - looking back on the good times instead of focusing on the bad. About the track, lead singer David Wimbish said, “It’s so easy in a breakup to only remember the bad things about the other person. I wrote Rose Colored Glasses because I didn’t want to forget the love, and the reasons that that love existed in the first place. It’s a song about the choice to remember the best in someone I’ve loved even after that relationship ended.” “Rose Colored Glasses” follows The Collection’s two previously released Nettwerk singles, “Sorry Baby” and “Won’t Stop Yet” and codifies the band’s steady march towards indie-pop. Along with the new song, The Collection has announced some headline tour dates, including a performance at Austin’s famed SXSW Music Festival. The Collection’s raucous live shows have drawn accolades and major festival slots nationwide, as well as tour dates with Sammy Rae & The Friends, The Oh Hellos and more.
