Biography
Born in Africa, a guitar enthusiast at the very young age of 5. At 9 he began building and playing self-made guitars. 1975-A civil war, exile to Canada at seventeen. 1989 Invited to record his debut solo album,“Blues & Derivados”, very positive reviews and airplay. 1991 Records“Long Distance Blues”, joined by Larry McCray and harp player J.J. Milteau 1994-“Guitar Player Magazine's editor compared him to Jimmy Page. May 1998's issue selected as “Best Blues Guitarist”(30th Anniversary G.Player Magazine Competition) 1995-Plays Antone’s Anniversary in Austin Tx opening for Junior Wells, Clarence Gatemouth Brown and others.Austin Blues newspaper : “The South American Beast is coming to your town!” Later he records “Texas Bound”, featuring SRV's “Double Trouble”. 1999-Releases “Blues On The Outside”,again with Double Trouble, and tours with them. 2005-Releases Outros Nunos (Other Nunos) 2010-Releases Free Blues. Carol Borrington, Blues Matters Mag.-UK wrote: “In this Cd you will find some of the best blues guitaring around” . 2013–Releases Angels & Clowns for label Duchess Blue/Shinning Stone Records.(D.Robillard/J. Finkelstein) 2018–Releases Live in Suwalki Festival/Poland. Becomes Hall of Fame alongside with The Blues Brothers, Billy Gibbons, Ginger Baker, Canned Heat , Warren Hynes , Mick Taylor etc. 2020–Released Angola Blues, dedicated to his country of origin.Stellar guests Airto Moreira and Flora Purim. In 2022 a series of monthly single's releases was implemented.
