Biography
Crazy Arm's fourth album, Dark Hands, Thunderbolts, was released 29th Jan 2021 on Xtra Mile Recs. Three singles, 'Brave Starts Here', 'The Golden Hind' and 'Fear Up' were taken from the album. Est 2005, Devon roots-punks, Crazy Arm, have developed, over the years, a creative, weathered and sprawling mess of ‘60s protest song, post/hardcore, Americana, bluegrass, anarcho-punk and vintage rock’n’roll, combined with a grass-roots, anti-fascist slant. Each of their three albums on Xtra Mile Recordings, Born To Ruin ('Stunning': Kerrang!), Union City Breath ('A triumph from start to finish': Punktastic) and The Southern Wild ('A glorious surprise': R2) has showcased a band at the top of their game and made them many fans around the globe. They have also released 11 singles including split 7"s with Frank Turner and Jim Lockey & The Solemn Sun. Over the years, Crazy Arm developed another side to their forte: playing stripped-down songs with fiddle, banjo and close harmonies, that reflect their love of folk-roots, bluegrass and Americana (to wit: The Southern Wild). They have played nearly 700 shows, and toured the UK/Europe many times as headliners and with the likes of Against Me!, Frank Turner, Chuck Ragan, Larry & His Flask, Restorations, Boysetsfire and Apologies I Have None. The band have appeared at countless festivals including Boomtown (UK), 2000 Trees (UK), Reading/Leeds (UK), Groezrock (Belgium), Riez (Germany) and Mighty Sounds (Czech Republic). Art Vandelay
