If 2022’s 'Collision' was about finding a voice after loss, then Sweetie’s upcoming sophomore EP 'Punch the Shark' explores the power of resurrection. 'Punch the Shark' pulls Sweetie towards the grisly end of their flagship devo-country-punk style, drawing on broad influences from early riot grrrls like The Slits to lo-fi grunge rock icons PJ Harvey and The White Stripes. Recorded and co-produced with Party Dozen's Jonathan Boulet, Sweetie’s sophomore EP captures all the energy and intensity of their live show.
