Biography
Ataah King is a songwriter, rapper, and record producer who was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Ataah's musical style is an incorporation of drill, hip-hop, and pop rap. Ataah has been applauded for his live performances and stage presence. He comes from a community of many other notable acts, including AdELA (the "Run It" rapper and fellow TuneCore artist), Boakie (the "No Love" rapper and member of Jacquees' camp), Della Mbaacha (the "If He Can Do It I Can Do It" rapper and also Ataah's cousin), Johnny Shock (the "How I Live" rapper), Julius Scott (the "Some Way" rapper), Khalid (the "Location" singer and fellow Sony Music artist), Kwaku (the "Elite" singer and fellow St. John's University alumni), Laila-Simone (the "I'm Serious" singer), NLTG Kee (the "Alien In The Glenn" rapper), nolifenino (the "NINORX" rapper), Scotty Atl (fellow Atlanta native and “Life of the Party” rapper), Terrell Nego (the "Vanilla Sky" singer), Qwayisi (the "Radio" rapper), and Wilkins Port (the "Summer Feelings" producer). In 2010, before signing his first major distribution deal with Tate Music Group for his demo project, "The Reign" (2013), Ataah started releasing music through SoundCloud while living in South Korea. Later, in 2017, after the release of his mixtapes "Senioritis" (2014), "Reignsound" (2015), and "Like it is in the Movies" (2015), Ataah found a new home under the wings of AWAL and The Orchard, subsidiaries of Sony Music Entertainment.
