Biography
Hailing from Germany, the five-piece hardcore band THE NARRATOR has already come a long way in a short time. After the five guys named Fabian, Rob, Jan, Tom and Fritz formed in 2017, they immediately made a name for themselves by playing shows around their hometown Essen. In the first two years they shared stages with the likes of Hatebreed or Secrets. They also played some well-known festivals. After the release of their second EP Dark Rails, THE NARRATOR were announced as support for Our Mirage's headline tour in March 2020, alongside Vitja and Breathe Atlantis. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the tour was postponed after only 3 shows and thus took place in 2022. As support for Our Mirage THE NARRATOR made a name for themselves all over Germany. In 2022 THE NARRATOR played among others at Bochum Total, the biggest festival in Germany as well as at the Crowdsalat Festival at Weststadthalle Essen together with Stray From The Path, Novelists FR and more. The band's songs are as straightforward as their history so far: driving riffs and catchy choruses support the lyrics, which deal with inner conflicts and the burden everyone has to carry sometimes. While the lyrics mostly revolve around personal issues, THE NARRATOR try to contribute to equal opportunities for all people. This is one of the reasons why they organized a solo show for Sea-Watch in 2020. With the support of the audience, the band collected over 1,400 euros to help Sea-Watch save lives in the Mediterranean.
