Biography
Juke of June is an American rock band based in Nashville, TN. They originated at Belmont University where they met and began growing their sound. Since then, the group has gone through many phases and has come to find their niche in a modernly soulful style of music. This style combines powerful vocals with driving melody lines and a solid, pocketed groove. They draw influences from Durand Jones and the Indications, Black Pumas, Hippocampus, as well as classic acts such as the Doors, Led Zepplin and Bill Withers. Some of their notable performances include headlining shows at Mercy Lounge and the Basement East, road shows at venues such as The Mill and Mine, where they opened for the veteran band Moon Taxi, and lastly multiple shows at Nissan Stadium via the Tennessee Titans organization, including a halftime performance. JOJ has frequented many festivals as well, including Soybean Festival, Electric Winter Wonderland, and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival. The band has also released many notable singles and EPs. Since the year 2019, Juke of June has amassed a catalog of over 20 releases and has worked with producers David Leonard, Alberto Vas, Jeff Trott, and Sheryl Crow. They most recently released the singles Where'd She Go and Sounds, and they have an EP locked and loaded for the upcoming year.
