Biography

Uruguayan singer/songwriter Samantha Navarro started composing at a very young age, taking guitar classes soon after. Mostly influenced by her father, musician Mario Navarro, and by 1970s hard rock, the artist decided to get involved in the local scene in the early '90s, winning a Montevideo's Festival in the category of Best Author in 1994 and having the opportunity to make her fist record in 1996. Later, she joined different projects such as La Máquina Del Amor and Los Contundentes. In 1998, Samantha Navarro released Mujeres Rotas, that same year she had the chance to open for Enrique Iglesias at Centenario Stadium. ~ Drago Bonacich, Rovi
