Biography
"I make music for people like me. Those who come from nothing and often feel less important or even forgotten." Steve Matherly, who goes by the stage name INSTIGATOR, was born and raised in the small town of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee located just north of Chattanooga. He started writing his first rhymes while in middle school and performed in front of the school his senior year but it wasn't until a few years later when asked to split studio time with a local band that he recorded his first track. From there he linked up with TRIGGA TR3 and made his first official album "From the trailer parks to the Hood" selling over 10,000 copies from the trunk of his car. He soon met DJ MUDDY WATER & SOLO to form the group Valley Boys who went on to influence what most people call today "COUNTRY RAP". After forming the label Tennessee Pushers in 2010 with his group Valley Boys, Jelly Roll, Struggle Jennings, Big Shark, Kentrell, T. Rizer, Frank White, Wayne On A Beat & Ducky Devito they were successfully able to release several successful mixtapes that became a foothold for many of their solo career's and continue to put out major releases including the newest album "Croptober" by Lil Wyte & Instigator.
